A Frisco Code Enforcement officer attended the January board meeting. The officer stated that fence and roof contractors have not been getting permits from the city. If you are having work done ask your contractor to see the permit and verify with the city it is valid.
In a few instances have occurred were code enforcement has ask the home owner to remove a fence and an arbor. They had to be removed because they did not meet current code. On further investigation, they determined the contractor did not get a permit from the city.
If you are going to do the work yourself, you will need to get a permit from the city. Currently the permits cost approximately $25.
